WWE to Expand Premium Live Events in Saudi Arabia Starting in 2026 – WWE is set to increase its number of Premium Live Events (PLEs) in Saudi Arabia starting in 2026, according to statements made during TKO Group Holdings’ 2024 earnings call.
TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer confirmed that WWE will hold only one event in Saudi Arabia in 2025, down from two in 2024. However, the company plans to expand to three events in 2026, including the Royal Rumble in January.
“Our guidance for 2025 includes one PLE in Saudi Arabia, compared to two PLEs in 2024,” Schleimer stated. “This results in an unfavorable impact to our 2025 plan of approximately $55 million of total company revenue. We expect to host three PLEs in Saudi Arabia in 2026, including Royal Rumble.”
While WWE has yet to officially announce its 2025 event in Saudi Arabia, the company has maintained a steady presence in the region. Since 2019, WWE has held two events per year in Saudi Arabia, excluding the pandemic years. The company’s partnership with Saudi Arabia, which was extended in 2019, remains in place through 2028.
The addition of the Royal Rumble to WWE’s Saudi Arabia lineup marks a significant shift, as it would be the first time a Big Four event is held outside North America.
During the call, TKO’s Chief Operating Officer, Mark Shapiro, also revealed that they are nearing an agreement with Saudi partners to launch a long-planned boxing league. Under the proposed deal, TKO would receive both a stake in the venture and compensation for managing its operations.
