WWE RAW Sees First Viewership Increase on Netflix Since Premiere – For the first time since its debut on Netflix, WWE RAW has experienced a week-over-week increase in viewership. The February 3 episode of RAW amassed 3.1 million views globally during its first week of availability (February 3-9), marking an improvement from the 2.9 million views the January 27 episode generated in its first week.
This episode of RAW served as the fallout show from the Royal Rumble and took place just two nights after the PLE. The increase in viewership also helped RAW climb back to seventh place in Netflix’s weekly Top 10 rankings for English-language TV shows, up from ninth the previous week. Additionally, RAW ranked in the Top 10 in seven countries: Bolivia, Canada, Ecuador, Mexico, Nicaragua, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
A breakdown of WWE RAW’s weekly Netflix viewership numbers so far:
- January 6 – 5.9 million views (17.7 million hours viewed)
- January 13 – 3.7 million views (8.2 million hours viewed)
- January 20 – 3.0 million views (6.6 million hours viewed)
- January 27 – 2.9 million views (6.6 million hours viewed)
- February 3 – 3.1 million views (6.1 million hours viewed)
According to Netflix’s methodology, viewership is calculated by dividing total hours viewed by the program’s runtime.
Despite the increase, RAW was still outpaced by several other English-language TV shows, including The Night Agent (Season 2), The Recruit (Season 2), American Manhunt: OJ Simpson, Sweet Magnolias (Season 4), Apple Cider Vinegar, and The Recruit (Season 1).
With this positive trend, it will be interesting to see if RAW can continue to build momentum on Netflix in the coming weeks.
