Trish Stratus to Compete in Tag Team Action at Elimination Chamber – A big tag team match appears to be set for next month’s Elimination Chamber, following a series of brutal assaults on 2/14 WWE SmackDown that left both Trish Stratus and Tiffany Stratton reeling.
The chaos began when Nia Jax and Candice LeRae attacked Stratus and Stratton during the episode. In response, Stratus approached Stratton backstage, suggesting they team up at Elimination Chamber to settle their differences. Stratton embraced the idea, calling it “Tiffy Time and Trishy Time,” though the match still requires approval from SmackDown authority figure Nick Aldis, as confirmed by the announcers.
Earlier in the show, Stratus was interviewed in the crowd and confirmed she would be attending Elimination Chamber in Toronto. The situation escalated during Stratton’s defense of the WWE Women’s Championship against Nia Jax. After LeRae interfered blatantly, the referee called for the bell, and Jax and LeRae began a brutal assault on Stratton. Stratus attempted to intervene, but she was quickly overwhelmed by Jax, who cornered and squashed her.
As the segment drew to a close, Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring, sitting next to the recovering Stratton. Flair then dropped a bombshell, revealing she would be challenging Stratton for the WWE Women’s title at WrestleMania 41, adding more intrigue to the already heated rivalry.
With the tag team match proposal still pending approval, fans are eagerly awaiting what will unfold in Toronto next month.
