TNA Experiences Behind-the-Scenes Shake-Up with Multiple Departures – TNA Wrestling is undergoing significant changes behind the scenes, as both Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme have officially exited the company. Reports from Fightful Select and PWInsider.com highlight these developments, signaling a period of transition within the organization.
In addition to the departures of Mathews and Hemme, PWInsider.com‘s Mike Johnson reported that Anthony Cicione, who served as the President of TNA, has also vacated his position. Cicione, who took on the role in February 2024, was also the President of Anthem Entertainment Group, TNA’s parent company. The company has yet to announce a replacement for Cicione, but a new executive has reportedly been brought on to oversee production and other key aspects of the promotion.
Christy Hemme, a long-time figure in TNA, had been responsible for the company’s social media efforts prior to her departure. Hemme originally joined TNA in 2006, following her WWE tenure, and initially served as a host and co-host for various TNA programming. She also trained to become a wrestler and even challenged for the TNA Knockouts Championship during her career. Hemme further contributed to the company by managing The Rock ‘n Rave Infection (Lance Hoyt and Jimmy Rave) and later worked as a ring announcer and interviewer from 2011 to 2016. After a brief hiatus, she returned to TNA in 2024, where she continued her behind-the-scenes work before departing recently.
With these changes, it remains to be seen what direction TNA will take moving forward.
