Solo Sikoa Set for SmackDown Appearance – Solo Sikoa is set to appear on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, continuing his recent resurgence after weeks of absence. The show, broadcasting from Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., will feature Sikoa following his shocking attack on Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes last week.
Last Friday marked Sikoa’s first SmackDown appearance in three weeks, and he made an immediate impact by blindsiding Rhodes with a Samoan Spike. His return came after an extended absence following his loss to Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat on RAW’s Netflix premiere. On the January 17 episode of SmackDown, Sikoa left the ring without speaking as the crowd showered him with boos, hinting at a shift in his character.
WWE.com teased tonight’s segment with the following statement:
“After emerging from nowhere to assault Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes with a vicious Samoan Spike last week – just moments after The American Nightmare and Jey Uso defeated Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga – Solo Sikoa is set to return to SmackDown, Friday at 8 ET/7 CT on USA!”
While Rhodes successfully defended his title against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble, his next challenger will be determined in the men’s Elimination Chamber match on March 1. Confirmed participants include John Cena, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Logan Paul, with Jacob Fatu set to compete in a qualifier tonight against Braun Strowman and Damian Priest.
With Sikoa back in the mix, his intentions remain unclear. However, his recent actions suggest he could be making a play for dominance as WrestleMania season heats up.
Here is the updated SmackDown lineup:
- WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton defends against Nia Jax
- Elimination Chamber qualifying match: Jacob Fatu vs. Braun Strowman vs. Damian Priest
- Elimination Chamber qualifying match: Naomi vs. Chelsea Green
- Solo Sikoa appears
