Matt Hardy Talks Ricky Saints in NXT – Ricky Saints, formerly known as Ricky Starks in AEW, is set to make his in-ring debut for WWE NXT on the February 25 episode. Saints will team up with Je’Von Evans to take on Wes Lee and Ethan Page in what will be his first official match since joining WWE earlier this month.
Adding to the night’s significance, Matt and Jeff Hardy will also make their return to WWE, competing against No Quarter Catch Crew’s Tavion Heights and Myles Borne. The Hardys’ presence is part of WWE’s ongoing collaboration with TNA.
On his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt Hardy shared his thoughts on Saints’ move to NXT and reflected on their time together in AEW. Hardy recalled their interactions, noting that Saints often greeted him with, “Hey, what’s going on, RN?” Hardy also revealed that Saints had jokingly speculated that his new WWE name would be “Ricky Norris.”
Hardy expressed confidence in Saints’ fit within NXT, believing the brand provides a solid foundation for him to establish himself in WWE. He compared Saints’ situation to that of Jordynne Grace, stating that NXT allows new talent to develop while WWE focuses on its key players for WrestleMania season.
Saints’ debut adds to a packed NXT episode, which will also feature title matches and appearances from top stars. His performance in this tag team match could set the stage for a promising future in WWE.
