Lex Luger Shows Remarkable Progress with Help from DDP – Diamond Dallas Page recently shared an inspiring update on Lex Luger’s condition, revealing significant progress in his recovery. Luger, who has been a quadriplegic since a spinal cord injury in 2007, can now stand without assistance. This marks a remarkable milestone in his long road to regaining mobility.
Luger has worked diligently with DDP for over a decade as part of a rehabilitation program aimed at improving his physical abilities. DDP, in his post, emphasized how much Luger’s mindset has shifted, stating, “My brother @GenuineLexLuger is a changed man on a new path.”
The former WWE and WCW star has been using a wheelchair since the injury but has remained focused on recovery.
Luger’s career in professional wrestling saw him make a major leap in 1995 when he left WWE for WCW, appearing on the inaugural episode of WCW Monday Nitro. He had kept his decision secret, as advised by Eric Bischoff, and didn’t inform Vince McMahon ahead of time.
Although Luger has been under contract with WWE as an ambassador, many fans feel that he has long been deserving of a WWE Hall of Fame induction. Luger, a former WCW World Heavyweight Champion, has previously stated that he’s unsure why he hasn’t already been inducted but considers it a great honor to be included in the Hall of Fame someday.
