Killswitch and Skye Blue Near AEW Return After Medical Clearance – Killswitch (also known as Luchasaurus) and Skye Blue may be returning to AEW sooner than expected after receiving medical clearance. However, while both have been cleared by their doctors, AEW’s internal approval process remains a separate hurdle before their official comeback.
Skye Blue’s Recovery and Return Timeline
Skye Blue has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury during her July 20 match against Hikaru Shida on AEW Collision. The injury required surgery, and initial expectations suggested she wouldn’t return until spring. Despite her recovery, AEW had been working under the assumption that she would be out for an extended period.
Throughout her recovery, Blue remained active, even traveling to Australia to support her boyfriend, Kyle Fletcher, at Grand Slam. Those close to the situation indicate that she has been eager to return to action as soon as possible.
Killswitch’s Health Scare and Comeback
Killswitch’s road back to the ring has been far more uncertain due to a serious illness. The 39-year-old was hospitalized in late September after collapsing at home, where his fiancée found him in critical condition. He was later diagnosed with double pneumonia, a life-threatening condition that kept him out of action for months.
While both wrestlers have been medically cleared, AEW has yet to finalize creative plans for their return. With their recoveries now complete, it remains to be seen how and when AEW will reintroduce them to television.
