Josh Alexander Expected to Join AEW – Josh Alexander has officially become one of the most sought-after free agents in professional wrestling.
His contract with TNA Wrestling expired on February 14, 2025, marking the end of his tenure with the promotion. Alexander’s final match for TNA aired on the February 13 episode of iMPACT!, where he was defeated by Eric Young in the main event—a match that TNA later released in full on YouTube.
With his free agency now in effect, multiple reports suggest that Alexander is likely heading to AEW. According to sources within AEW, as well as those close to Alexander and industry insiders, the former TNA World Champion is widely expected to sign with the company—if he hasn’t already. His representation by well-known wrestling agent Barry Bloom further indicates that his next move is already in motion.
On the WWE side, reports confirm that while there was past interest in signing Alexander, he has not joined the company. This solidifies AEW as his probable destination, though an official announcement has yet to be made.
AEW has several major events on the horizon, making it a prime opportunity for a surprise debut or a high-profile storyline involving Alexander. Fans will now be waiting to see when and where “The Walking Weapon” makes his first appearance in an AEW ring.
We will continue to provide updates on Josh Alexander’s next steps as more details emerge.
