Hulk Hogan and Real American Beer Face Lawsuit Over Alleged Injury at Promotional Event – Hulk Hogan and his beer company, Real American Beer, are being sued by a woman who claims she was struck in the head with a sealed beer can during a promotional event last August.
According to FOX 8, the lawsuit alleges “negligence causing injury” after a beer can was thrown approximately 50 feet, hitting Michelle Harlukowicz in the forehead near her hairline. The incident took place on August 19, 2024, at Thirsty Cowboys, a bar in Medina Township, Ohio, during a Real American Beer promotional event.
Attorney Eric Tayfel, representing Harlukowicz, stated that she suffered a severe injury that required stitches and would result in permanent scarring. “It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted with a can of beer,” Tayfel said.
According to the lawsuit, Hogan and event promoters tossed free cans of beer into the crowd. Harlukowicz was standing near the back wall of the dance floor when she was allegedly struck. Her attorney stated that she never saw the can coming.
Photos included in the lawsuit reportedly show a can-shaped wound on her forehead requiring nearly ten stitches. Medina Township Police responded to the incident but did not file charges, as they could not determine who threw the can.
The lawsuit claims that either Hogan or one of the other promoters was responsible for throwing the can. It also names Thirsty Cowboys and its owner, Aaron Lind, arguing that the venue was responsible for booking the event and ensuring patron safety.
Harlukowicz is seeking damages for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.
