Frustration Within AEW Over Lack of Production Meetings – Bryan Alvarez shared his frustration with AEW’s approach to production, specifically the company’s failure to hold production meetings. During his commentary on a segment from AEW Dynamite featuring Thunder Rosa, Alvarez highlighted ongoing dissatisfaction among AEW talent and staff about the lack of coordination that comes from the absence of these meetings.
Alvarez stated, “Not a week goes by, not one week goes by where I don’t hear from somebody in AEW saying, ‘Why the fuck don’t we have production meetings? We need production meetings. Things happen on every show where if we had a production meeting, they wouldn’t happen.’” He continued by criticizing AEW president Tony Khan for refusing to implement such meetings, claiming it has led to multiple issues throughout AEW’s programming.
Alvarez’s remarks stemmed from an incident on Dynamite, where confusion over a segment left key details unclear and caused the babyface wrestler to appear foolish. He said, “Nobody knows. I didn’t get a single good explanation for it. It was just everybody was on a different page, and you made the baby face look like an absolute idiot, and away we go.”
This critique follows a recurring theme from AEW talent, who have expressed concern over the lack of clear communication that could be avoided with proper production coordination. Alvarez’s comments shine a light on the ongoing internal frustrations at AEW surrounding this issue.
