Broadcast Change Announced for This Week’s WWE SmackDown – This week’s episode of WWE SmackDown will continue shaping the road to Elimination Chamber on March 1, marking the final stop before WrestleMania 41. With high-stakes matches on the card, the blue brand is set for an eventful night.
One of the night’s biggest bouts will be a Men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match, featuring Jacob Fatu, Braun Strowman, and Damian Priest. With only a few spots left in the grueling Chamber match, these three powerhouses will battle for a chance to secure their spot.
Additionally, the WWE Women’s Championship will be on the line as reigning champion Tiffany Stratton defends against Nia Jax. Stratton’s title reign has been under constant threat, and she faces one of her most dangerous challengers yet. Meanwhile, another Women’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match will see Chelsea Green go one-on-one with Naomi, with the winner earning a place in the high-stakes bout.
Aside from the in-ring action, the commentary team will see a change this week. Lead announcer Joe Tessitore will be absent from SmackDown due to his obligations with ESPN, which is airing a live boxing event featuring Berinchyk vs. Keyshawn from The Theater at Madison Square Garden. While WWE has yet to confirm his replacement, veteran commentator Michael Cole is the most likely choice to step in.
With crucial Elimination Chamber spots on the line and a championship match set, SmackDown promises an action-packed show leading into the final stretch before WrestleMania 41.
