Booker T Discusses John Cena’s Legacy Ahead of 2025 Retirement Tour – During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, WWE Hall of Famer Booker T shared his thoughts on John Cena’s legacy and how he will be remembered following his planned retirement tour in 2025.
Booker T praised Cena’s ability to maximize his opportunities and make a lasting impact in WWE. “The man who took what he had, made the best out of it, and took it all the way to the top. That’s how John’s going to be remembered,” Booker said. “He wasn’t the best wrestler in the world or anything like that. I always talk about that.”
He further elaborated on Cena’s approach to wrestling, emphasizing his ability to perform effectively. “You know, as far as John Cena goes, and it’s not out of disrespect or anything like that, but John Cena, he knew how to go out and do — I always talk to my students, I say, ‘There’s no wrong way of doing it, as long as you do it right.’ That’s John Cena.”
Cena is set to compete in the Elimination Chamber match on March 1, where he has a chance to secure a title opportunity at WrestleMania 41. The match will be a significant moment in his career as he inches closer to his retirement.
Speculation suggests that Cena could emerge victorious in the match and challenge Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41. If that happens, he would have the opportunity to surpass Ric Flair’s historic record of 16 world title reigns. A potential victory at WrestleMania would cement Cena’s legacy as one of WWE’s most accomplished champions.
