
Athena Reaches 800 Days as ROH Women’s World Champion – Athena has achieved another historic milestone in her reign as ROH Women’s World Champion, reaching 800 days with the title as of February 16, 2025. She originally captured the championship by defeating Mercedes Martinez at ROH Final Battle 2022 on December 10, 2022.
Since winning the title, Athena has defended it 26 times against a variety of challengers, further cementing her dominance in Ring of Honor. Some of her most notable victories have come against Skye Blue, Willow Nightingale, Red Velvet, Billie Starkz, Nyla Rose, and Hikaru Shida, among others.
Her most recent title defense took place in Japan, where she successfully retained against Thekla while competing for STARDOM. Looking ahead, her next challenge will come against Alex Windsor at ROH Global Wars, set to air on February 17.
Athena’s reign is not just lengthy—it is record-breaking. She currently holds the distinction of being the longest-reigning champion in ROH history across all divisions, further solidifying her legacy in the company.
