AEW Keeping Pay-Per-View Schedule Under Wraps – AEW has yet to hold a pay-per-view event in 2025 and has been selective about announcing its upcoming schedule.
So far, the promotion has confirmed only four events for the year: Revelation on March 9 in Los Angeles, Dynasty on April 6 in Philadelphia, All In on July 12 in Arlington, Texas, and Forbidden Door on August 24 in England.
However, AEW’s remaining PPV plans are being kept tightly under wraps, and according to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this secrecy is intentional. Meltzer reported that AEW does not want to give WWE a chance to schedule competing events in advance, as WWE has done in the past.
“One of the reasons AEW PPV dates aren’t being announced well in advance is because of WWE countering Worlds End and All In Texas, as well as other shows. The stuff is being kept top secret and even those internally don’t know of dates and stuff after April,” Meltzer wrote.
This strategy comes after WWE scheduled a house show in Orlando, Florida, on the same night as AEW Worlds End this past December, seemingly in an effort to pull fans away from AEW’s event. Additionally, WWE has countered All In in Texas with its own events.
With AEW keeping its pay-per-view schedule confidential, it remains to be seen when additional dates will be revealed and whether this approach will prevent WWE from disrupting AEW’s plans.
