The Young Bucks Capture IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty – The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson) returned to championship gold by winning the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty. They triumphed in a high-stakes, three-way tag team match against Hiromu Takahashi & Tetsuya Naito, as well as Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb.
The match reached its climax when the Bucks delivered their signature TK Driver on O-Khan to secure the pinfall and claim victory. This marks the second reign for the Bucks as IWGP Tag Team Champions, their first since 2018.
The titles had been vacated following an injury to HENARE during the NJPW World Tag League, where he and Great-O-Khan originally held the championship. Naito & Takahashi earned their spot by winning the 2024 World Tag League and chose to challenge for the gold at Wrestle Kingdom. With HENARE sidelined, Cobb stepped in as O-Khan’s partner for the bout.
This appearance was a major moment for the Young Bucks, who had not competed in Japan since Wrestle Kingdom 13. It also marked their first match since dropping the AEW Tag Team Titles to Private Party (Isiah Kassidy & Marq Quen) on the October 30, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite.
