WWE and TNA Wrestling Announce Groundbreaking Multi-Year Partnership – WWE and TNA Wrestling have officially revealed a historic multi-year partnership, allowing crossover appearances between NXT Superstars and TNA talent across their respective weekly programming, premium live events, and pay-per-views. The collaboration, announced on January 16, 2025, marks a significant shift in the wrestling landscape, combining the reach and resources of WWE, part of TKO Group Holdings, with the innovation and talent depth of TNA, owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment.
Under the agreement, stars from NXT and TNA will benefit from expanded exposure and competitive opportunities. WWE’s NXT, airing live on The CW, and TNA iMPACT!, broadcast on AXS TV and TNA+, will serve as primary platforms for the talent exchanges. Additionally, appearances at major WWE premium live events and TNA pay-per-views are part of the deal.
“This historic relationship demonstrates that collaboration and competition do not have to be mutually exclusive,” said Ariel Shnerer, Senior Vice President of Content & Distribution for TNA and Anthem Sports & Entertainment. He emphasized the benefits for both promotions and praised the overwhelmingly positive fan response to early crossover initiatives.
Shawn Michaels, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative, expressed enthusiasm about continuing the partnership, stating, “We look forward to growing and evolving our partnership with TNA Wrestling and its outstanding group of athletes by creating new opportunities to further the development of our talent and to elevate the viewer experience at home.”
In 2024, notable crossovers included former TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry competing on NXT, with Hendry facing Ethan Page for the NXT Championship at No Mercy and Grace challenging Roxanne Perez at Battleground. Meanwhile, several NXT talents made appearances on TNA iMPACT!, including Wes Lee’s reunion with The Rascalz, Charlie Dempsey’s No Quarter Catch Crew, and others like Gallus, Arianna Grace, and Wendy Choo.
This collaboration promises to bring fresh matchups and storytelling opportunities, enhancing the experience for wrestling fans worldwide.
