Update on Scheduling Conflict for AEW Grand Slam Australia – AEW apparently clarified its broadcast plans for Grand Slam: Australia after confusion stemming from an initial announcement that the show would air at 8 PM Eastern on February 15, 2025, on TNT and Max. The issue arose when fans noted that TNT is scheduled to air All Star Saturday Night at the same time, one of the NBA’s most prominent events of the year.
AEW quickly deleted the original promotional post and released a revised graphic confirming the date but without a specified air time, raising questions about how the conflict would be resolved.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW’s current plan is to air the show on TNT immediately following NBA coverage. Meltzer explained, “The Grand Slam show will air on TNT after the NBA coverage, giving it a significant lead-in, but it will air very late. The broadcast would start around 2:30 a.m. Eastern on what is technically Saturday morning, marking approximately a 21-hour tape delay.”
It remains unclear if Max will provide a live broadcast or simply simulcast the TNT airing. This scheduling situation puts AEW in direct competition with WWE NXT’s Vengeance Day show, which will air live on the same date opposite the NBA event.
This latest development reflects AEW’s ongoing challenges with programming logistics and communication, leading to further fan frustration. Despite the changes, the confirmed Grand Slam: Australia match card so far includes Mariah May defending her Women’s World Title against Toni Storm.
