Update on Corey Graves’ WWE Contract Status – Corey Graves’ recent return to WWE NXT commentary has sparked significant discussion, especially after his tweets hinted at dissatisfaction with his current position. Despite the online speculation, new details have emerged about his contract status and future with the company.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Corey Graves has two years remaining on his current WWE contract. While his social media posts have fueled rumors about potential unrest, Dave Meltzer reported that Graves has no intention of leaving WWE, despite many interpreting his tweets as a sign of deeper frustration.
Graves, who has become a prominent voice on WWE programming over the years, addressed his assignment to NXT in a pointed tweet. He expressed his disappointment over being told he wasn’t “famous enough” to secure a spot on RAW or SmackDown. Graves wrote:
“Imagine chasing your dream. Then being TOLD (not deciding) that you’re no longer physically able to pursue your dream. Then you dedicate your life to something ‘dream adjacent’ and being pretty f**ing awesome at it. And then, when it’s time to enjoy the fruits of your labor, being told you’re not famous enough for your own job.”*
Although the tweet showcased his dissatisfaction, the report confirms that Graves is staying with WWE for the foreseeable future. With two years left on his deal, it remains to be seen how his role within the company evolves moving forward.
