The Miz and Damian Priest Moved to SmackDown – On the January 24 episode of WWE SmackDown, General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed two significant roster moves as part of WWE’s transfer window: The Miz and Damian Priest are now officially part of the blue brand.
The Miz, however, was far from thrilled with the news. In a backstage meeting with Aldis, he expressed his frustration, explaining that he had strategically arranged for the Wyatt Sicks—Uncle Howdy (Bo Dallas), Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Nikki Cross—to be moved to SmackDown in order to distance himself from them. The Wyatts were transferred during the January 13 episode of WWE RAW, leaving Miz feeling blindsided by his own move.
Additionally, Aldis revealed that Damian Priest had also joined SmackDown through the transfer window. Priest met with Aldis backstage, where a match against Carmelo Hayes was made official for later in the evening. Priest, confident in his ability to adapt to his new brand, readily accepted the challenge, declaring his readiness to prove himself.
These moves come amid WWE’s ongoing efforts to shake up its roster dynamics, with the transfer window adding a layer of unpredictability to both RAW and SmackDown. Fans will now look forward to seeing how The Miz and Damian Priest adjust to their new surroundings, as both are poised to make an impact on the blue brand in the weeks to come.
