Secondary Women’s Title Match Rumored for WWE Royal Rumble – While much of WWE’s current spotlight has been on this weekend’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, preparations for the upcoming Royal Rumble are also in full swing. So far, aside from the marquee Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches, the only confirmed bout for the premium live event is a high-stakes Ladder Match between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens.
With just one non-Rumble match announced, additional contests are expected to fill out the card. According to a recent Backstage Pass Q&A session on SportsKeeda, WrestleVotes mentioned hearing speculation about a secondary women’s title match being added. Specifically, there are whispers of Chelsea Green defending the United States Championship. However, WrestleVotes stressed that this potential match remains a rumor for now and is far from confirmed.
“Yeah, nothing that I have concrete. I have heard some rumblings that a secondary women’s title match may be added, maybe a Chelsea Green defense of some sort, but nothing that I can say right now is for sure on the card,” WrestleVotes noted.
Fans will have to wait for official confirmation as WWE finalizes the lineup for one of its biggest shows of the year. The Royal Rumble, known for its surprises and high-stakes matches, will set the stage for WrestleMania 41.
