Odyssey Jones Granted Protection Order Over Harassment – Odyssey Jones, real name Omari Palmer, was removed from WWE programming in September 2024 following domestic violence allegations, leading to his release. Although WWE did not formally confirm his departure, Jones recently addressed the situation in a video.
A new report from Brandon Thurston of POST Wrestling, based on court records, sheds more light on the complex legal matters surrounding the case. Thurston notes that Palmer sought and was granted an order of protection against his ex-partner in September 2024.
Palmer’s petition to the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court in Orange County, Florida, detailed claims of harassment, threats, and physical violence. He asserted that he felt in “imminent danger” as the situation escalated. The legal records indicate that a temporary injunction for dating violence was approved on September 6, 2024, and has since been extended twice, now lasting until 2028.
The court documents obtained by POST Wrestling do not include statements from Palmer’s ex-partner. Additionally, there are no known criminal charges or arrests related to the allegations.
Palmer’s petition referenced a history of conflict, including a prior order of protection granted in 2018. He described a December 2023 incident where he was allegedly attacked in front of witnesses. Another altercation reportedly occurred on a cruise ship, where his ex-partner was taken into custody.
Palmer further claimed that his ex-partner contacted his new employer and succeeded in having him fired, presumably referring to his WWE release, although WWE is not directly named.
In addition to his petition, Palmer filed a police report with the Maitland Police Department in Florida alleging stalking. Despite multiple inquiries, he did not respond to POST Wrestling’s request for comment.
This developing story highlights a troubling personal situation for Palmer, and further details may emerge as legal proceedings continue.
