Mystery Tease, Title Matches Set for NXT Vengeance Day – The January 28 episode of WWE NXT ended with a cryptic message teasing a surprise for NXT Vengeance Day. After Bianca Belair and Naomi successfully defended the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson in the main event, the broadcast was briefly interrupted by a test card displaying the words “WWE transmission.” The text then changed to “NXT Vengeance Day,” signaling that something unexpected could happen at the upcoming premium live event on February 15.
Meanwhile, the Vengeance Day card continued to take shape with major championship matches confirmed. NXT Champion Oba Femi found himself in trouble after appearing on The Grayson Waller Effect alongside Waller and Austin Theory. After exchanging verbal jabs, Femi challenged one of them to step up for a title match. However, NXT General Manager Ava intervened, reminding him he couldn’t make matches himself. Later in the show, she announced that Femi will defend the NXT Championship in a Triple Threat Match against both Waller and Theory at Vengeance Day.
The NXT Women’s Championship will also be on the line in a Triple Threat Match. The show opened with Bayley and Giulia teaming up to defeat Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez, with Bayley securing the victory over Jade. Later, Ava announced that Bayley and Perez would both challenge Giulia for the NXT Women’s Championship at the PLE.
Additionally, the NXT Women’s North American Championship match was confirmed. Fallon Henley retained her title against Shotzi, but after the match, she was confronted by Stephanie Vaquer. Commentary then confirmed that Vaquer will challenge Henley for the championship at NXT Vengeance Day.
With multiple high-stakes matches and an intriguing teaser, NXT Vengeance Day is shaping up to be a must-watch event.
