McKenzie Mitchell Returns to TNA at Genesis – McKenzie Mitchell made her highly anticipated return to TNA Wrestling during the Genesis pay-per-view on Sunday, serving as the ring announcer for matches on the pre-show. Mitchell was also featured before the X Division Championship match between Moose and Ace Austin, marking her reintroduction to the promotion she left in 2019.
Mitchell began her career with TNA in 2016 as a backstage interviewer before transitioning to WWE in 2019, where she worked primarily with NXT. She remained a key backstage correspondent until her release in December 2023. After her WWE tenure, Mitchell appeared at Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling events last October as a backstage interviewer.
Her return to TNA fills the ring announcer role previously held by Jade Chung, who departed in December after replacing Dave Penzer.
The Genesis pre-show featured Jake Something defeating NXT’s Ashante “Thee” Adonis, and Frankie Kazarian besting Leon Slater. Ariana Grace, representing WWE, took credit for the recently announced WWE-TNA partnership and hinted at more cross-promotional appearances.
Mitchell’s presence brings familiarity and experience to TNA’s broadcast team as the company continues to evolve with new partnerships and exciting talent exchanges.
