Kenny Omega Defeats Brian Cage, Attacked by Don Callis Family – After more than a year away from the ring, Kenny Omega made a powerful return to AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage, defeating Brian Cage in an action-packed match.

Omega immediately took the fight to Cage, unleashing a flurry of punches and chops. Despite Omega’s best efforts, Cage no-sold the chops, and Omega’s fiery response only spurred him on. Cage countered with a devastating assault on Omega’s midsection, focusing on the abdomen due to Omega’s long battle with diverticulitis.

Special guest commentator Don Callis relished seeing Cage dominate the action. However, Lance Archer’s distraction allowed Cage to continue his assault, slamming Omega into the barricade and the ring apron. Omega started bleeding from his head, but the former AEW World Champion rallied to hit a powerbomb and a running knee for a close near fall. Omega avoided a big hit from Cage before landing a V-Trigger and finishing the match with the One-Winged Angel, securing a hard-fought victory.

After the match, Omega was attacked by Archer and Kyle Fletcher. However, the crowd erupted when Will Ospreay appeared to make the save. The two rivals teamed up to fight off the attackers, sending Archer and Cage retreating. Ospreay’s splash on Fletcher sent a message, but the excitement didn’t end there. Konosuke Takeshita’s theme hit, and the Japanese star clashed with Omega in a brutal exchange. Fletcher and Takeshita combined forces to overwhelm both Omega and Ospreay, continuing the chaos.

This marks Omega’s first AEW match since December 5, 2023, when he defeated Ethan Page on AEW Collision. Omega’s return sets the stage for an intense new rivalry as the battle between him, Ospreay, Takeshita, and their allies intensifies.
