Kamille’s AEW Future in Question – When former NWA Women’s World Champion Kamille joined AEW in July 2024, expectations were high. WWE showed interest in her around the same time, but she made her debut as the bodyguard for TBS Champion Mercedes Mone. Despite the initial excitement, Kamille’s run has been limited, with only a handful of in-ring appearances since her debut.
In November, Kamille parted ways with Mone, leading to her being written off AEW television following a storyline attack. Plans for a potential feud between the two appear to have been abandoned, as no further developments have occurred.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select addressed Kamille’s status during a recent Fightful Weekly Q&A Podcast, stating, “She’s under contract, but I’ve not heard anything regarding her on-screen future since shortly after she ‘quit’ working for Mercedes. There were some internally who wanted the partnership to end with a match, but it didn’t end up happening.”
Kamille remains optimistic about her AEW career. In a December interview with CovalentTV, she expressed a desire to win championship gold in the promotion and believed fans had yet to see her full potential.
As of now, Kamille’s future with AEW is unclear. Whether the company revisits her storyline with Mone or explores other creative directions, fans will be watching closely to see what’s next for the powerhouse competitor.
