Jeff Jarrett and MJF Set Their Sights on AEW World Title – At AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen on January 1, Jeff Jarrett announced that he has re-signed with All Elite Wrestling, declaring this would be his final pro wrestling contract. During his promo, Jarrett reflected on his family’s deep roots in the industry and his role in launching TNA Wrestling in 2002.
Jarrett also revealed his ambition to capture the AEW World Championship. He expressed his desire to participate in the Casino Gauntlet on the January 8 episode of Dynamite, setting the stage for his potential climb to the top.
Jarrett last competed at AEW Worlds End, where he defeated QT Marshall during the Zero Hour pre-show. Notably, Jarrett remains the longest-reigning Texas Chain Saw Massacre Death Match Champion, further cementing his unique legacy.
MJF Declares War on Jon Moxley and the AEW World Championship
In a pre-recorded promo aired during Fight for the Fallen, MJF addressed the fallout from his rivalry with Adam Cole. MJF made it clear that he is finished with Cole and their former partnership, Better Than You, Bay Bay, after defeating Cole at AEW Worlds End.
MJF also vowed to reclaim the AEW World Title, which he lost to Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds End 2023 following Cole’s shocking betrayal and revelation as The Devil. Turning his attention to Jon Moxley, the reigning AEW World Champion, MJF dismissed Moxley’s self-proclaimed title as a “King,” stating, “What’s a King to a God?”
MJF promised that 2025 would mark his resurgence, ominously declaring, “The Devil gets his due, Part 2.” His words signal an intense year ahead as he seeks to reclaim his spot at the top of AEW.
