JD McDonagh Out Several Weeks with Broken Ribs – JD McDonagh has confirmed he will be out of action for the next few weeks following an injury sustained during his World Tag Team Championship match on the January 27 episode of WWE RAW.
The Irish star shared an update with fans, stating, “First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good. I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit.”
The injury occurred during McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio’s match against The War Raiders for the World Tag Team Championships. While a nasty bump on the floor saw his neck collide with the announce table, reports indicate the injuries were focused on his torso. Despite the setback, the match continued, with The War Raiders retaining their titles.
Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer noted that McDonagh was taken to the hospital after the match for evaluation. The extent of his injuries—a punctured lung and broken ribs—will sideline him for an extended period.
McDonagh’s absence is a significant blow as he has been building momentum on RAW alongside Dominik Mysterio and The Judgment Day. Fans and peers alike have expressed their support and well wishes for the talented competitor.
We join the WWE Universe in wishing JD McDonagh a speedy recovery and hope to see him back in action soon.
