Dwayne The Rock Johnson Acquires Additional TKO Shares – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has significantly increased his stake in TKO, acquiring an additional 96,557 shares of the company. This brings his total holdings to 289,673 shares. The announcement follows a major move for Johnson as he becomes more deeply involved with TKO, a company formed through the merger of WWE and UFC.
On January 3, 2024, TKO stock closed at $142.40 per share, adding further value to Johnson’s growing investment in the company. This latest acquisition is part of a broader agreement Johnson made with TKO. A key component of this deal involves the granting of 193,115 restricted stock units (RSUs) on January 23, 2024. Half of these RSUs are set to vest on December 31, 2024, with the remainder to vest in twelve equal monthly installments from January 31, 2025, to December 31, 2025. These RSUs may be subject to acceleration or forfeiture based on specific conditions outlined in the Restricted Stock Unit Grant Notice and Award Agreement.
In addition to his stock acquisitions, Johnson also joined the TKO Board of Directors on January 23, 2024, strengthening his influence within the company. As part of the deal, Johnson signed a new services and merchandising agreement with WWE and secured the intellectual property (IP) rights to “The Rock,” further cementing his position as a key figure in both WWE and TKO’s future direction.
On January 23, 2024, the Reporting Person was granted 193,115 RSUs, one half of which vested on December 31, 2024. The remaining portion of the RSUs will vest in twelve equal monthly installments on the last day of the month for the period from January 31, 2025 through December 31, 2025. These RSUs are subject to potential acceleration or forfeiture in accordance with the terms of that certain Restricted Stock Unit Grant Notice and Restricted Stock Unit Award Agreement, dated as of January 22, 2024, between the Issuer and the Reporting Person.
