Backstage News on Solo Sikoa’s Promo on SmackDown

Backstage News on Solo Sikoa’s Promo on SmackDown – WWE adjusted its plans for Solo Sikoa’s segment during the January 17 episode of SmackDown, marking another shift in his ongoing storyline with The Bloodline.

The episode saw Solo attempt to cut a promo addressing his loss to Roman Reigns in their Tribal Combat match on the premiere of RAW on Netflix. However, as he began speaking, the San Diego crowd relentlessly booed, prompting him to walk out of the ring without finishing. This opened the door for Jacob Fatu, who delivered a powerful in-ring promo that drew significant praise from fans and analysts alike. The segment escalated when LA Knight stormed the ring, attacking members of The Bloodline before Braun Strowman made a surprise return to assist Knight and even the odds.

WWE incorporated Strowman’s recent absence into the storyline, explaining that he had been recovering from a brutal Bloodline attack. In reality, Strowman had been sidelined at the beginning of the year due to a severe illness. His return added a fresh dynamic to the developing rivalry involving Knight, The Bloodline, and now Strowman.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE originally planned for Solo Sikoa to open the show with a longer promo about his loss to Reigns, but the creative direction shifted before the live broadcast. The adjustment reflects WWE’s evolving strategy in building Sikoa’s character arc as he navigates his status within The Bloodline after losing his claim as Tribal Chief.

With tension mounting and Strowman back in the mix, expect more explosive confrontations as WWE heads toward its next major events.
