Anthony Bowens Walks Out on Max Caster on Dynamite – Tensions between The Acclaimed reached a breaking point during AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen, as Anthony Bowens abandoned Max Caster during their match against Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate.
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions have been showing signs of discord for weeks, and the animosity came to a head in Asheville. In a pre-match interview, Bowens confronted Caster, accusing him of intentionally sabotaging his match against Chris Jericho on AEW Rampage the previous week. Caster avoided addressing the accusation, furthering the rift.
The tension spilled over into their tag team match. As the bout progressed, Caster tagged himself in, sparking a heated exchange with Bowens. Moments later, Bowens stepped off the apron, choosing to leave his partner to fend for himself. The Hurt Syndicate capitalized on the dysfunction, delivering a brutal beatdown to Caster.
Bobby Lashley sealed the victory with a devastating Spear, followed by a powerful slam. Caster’s attempt to fight back ended in futility as Lashley locked him in the Hurt Lock, forcing him to tap out.
After the match, Bowens walked to the back without acknowledging Caster, who remained in the ring, visibly frustrated and isolated.
The Acclaimed’s partnership, once a highlight of AEW’s tag team division, appears to be on the verge of collapse. Fans are left wondering if the duo can reconcile or if this marks the end of their alliance.
