1/25 AEW Collision Results – We are live from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida, where Samoa Joe is ready to make is in-ring return!

Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne (w/The Patriarchy)

The Patriarchy got in the ring before the bell and tried to corner Joe until HOOK and Shibata came down to keep an eye on them.

After the bell rang, Wayne fought against Joe. Joe lifted him off the ground and Wayne put him in a side headlock. Joe challenged his opponent to take him down with a shoulder tackle and he couldn’t. He hit Joe in the gut. Joe tripped him and did a back body drop. Joe went for a Muscle Buster, but Wayne raked his eyes. Wayne took him down with a dragonscrew. Wayne pulled Joe to the ring post and threw his leg into the ring post. While the ref was distracted, Cage grabbed Joe’s leg, but HOOK came over and he dropped it. Wayne took Joe down with a moonsault.

Back in the ring, Wayne covered Joe for one. He continued to work Joe’s leg. Joe did a sideslam in the corner. Wayne hit a Destroyer on Joe. Wayne went up top for Wayne’s World, but Joe moved and hit him with lariat. Joe set up for a Muscle Buster when Cage and Kip Sabian jumped up on the apron. HOOK and Shibata pulled them down and they fought on the outside while Joe did the Muscle Buster for the win.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Kazuchika Okada vs. Komander

Okada extended his hand and when Komander went to shake it, Okada walked by. He did it a second time and Komander hit him with a series of kicks and a dropkick. Okada raked Komander’s eyes. Komander jumped on his back and Okada fell to his knee. Okada stood up and Komander locked in a hold. Okada rolled out of the ring and Komander followed with a tope suicida.

Back in the ring, Okada took him down with forearm. Komander used the close ramp to do a armdrag from the top rope. That sent Okada out of the ring. Komander did a hurricanrana over the top rope. Okada kicked him in the gut and did a DDT.

After the break, Okada had wrist control and sent Komander into the rope. Komander kicked him in the face and was caught trying to do a hurricanrana. Komander was able to hold on for a facebuster. Komander repeatedly kicked him in the legs before doing a bulldog. Komander went up top, but Okada grabbed him to do a neckbreaker. Okada followed with a slam before going on top for an elbow drop.

Okada missed with the Rainmaker and Komander connected with a hurricanrana and used the ropes for a poisonrana. Komander walked the ropes and delivered a moonsault to the outside. Komander put him in the ring and went up top for another hurricanrana, but Okada hit the Rainmaker.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

After the match, Okada shook his hand and gave him a thumbs up. When Komander got up to leave the ring, Okada hit him in the back with a double axe handle and walked over his body.

Backstage, Powerhouse Hobbs was waiting on Big Bill and beat him up. Bill fought back until Hobbs took a gate off its hinges and hit Bill with it. Security finally broke it up.

Backstage Lexy Nair was talking to The Costco Guys when they were interrupted by Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly. Adam Cole told them he knew what they did and asked if they wanted to do it together. The three of them yelled “BOOM!” After Undisputed Kingdom left, The Costco Guys gave them five booms.

Daniel Garcia and 2point0 vs. Undisputed Kingdom

Undisputed Kingdom made their way to the ring first. After Garcia and 2point0 hit their poses, Shane Taylor Promotions were shown ringside.

Garcia and Cole started us off by working each other’s arms. They took turns with headlocks and kipped up at the same time. Strong and Daddy Magic tagged in and did stand and switches. They moved on to working arms and Daddy Magic took him down with shoulder tackle. Ang tagged in and jumped on Strong. He was backed into the corner where he was hit by the Undipsuted Kingdom. KOR tagged in and took Ang down. Ang backed himself in the corner for Garcia to make a blind tag.

Garcia did an Irish Whip on KOR, which set KOR to hit Ang on the apron with a pump kick. KOR sent Garcia to the outside. KOR did a running knee and took down Daddy Magic. Garcia got up and was jawjacking with STP.

After the break, Garcia tagged in and punched KOR in the corner. Daddy Magic tagged in and sent KOR to the other corner. 2point0 double teamed him. KOR sent them into each other. They kept KOR from the corner until he took them down with a double clothesline.

Cole and Garcia tag in. Garcia with a back body drop and Cole answered with a kick to the leg. Cole hit a neckbreaker and tagged in Strong. Strong chopped Ang into the corner. Strong cleaned house. Strong did a jumping knee and slammed Ang. Daddy Magic broke up with pin. KOR tagged in and they double teamed Magic. Ang was still legal and they double teamed in. Garcia tried to help him, but was met with a Superkick by Cole. Strong hit Ang with a forearm as KOR did a leg sweep. KOR pinned Ang for the win.

Winner: Undisputed Kingdom

After the match, Undisputed Kingdom were trash talking STP. Garcia and 2point0 shook hands with Undisputed Kingdom. Daddy Magic and Strong had a staredown. Moriarty and Garcia had a staredown too.

Backstage, Max Caster spoke about Anthony Bowens choosing Billy Gunn. He said he’s a survivor and is having an open match series to see “who can survive ‘The Best Wrestler Alive'”.

Mariah May comes face to face with Toni Storm

Tony Schiavone invited Mariah May to the ring first. Mariah grabbed the mic and said, “let’s get this s– over with.” Schiavone invited Storm out. Storm enthusiastically stuck her hand out to May. May grabbed the mic and said “when I look at you, I see nothing. When I think about you, I feel nothing. And in the hearts in everyone of these fans, you are nothing. You are a joke. You are a meme. They laugh at you and then forget about you like I always knew they would. I never care about you. I never cared about you.” She told her she was nothing but a pawn and she’ll get off on humiliating Storm in her hometown.

Storm responded that she is her biggest fan and is an inspiration. “One day, I want to be just like you.” Storm handed the mic to Schiavone and hugged May. May patted her head and then slapped her twice. She told Schiavone to get out and beat Storm with the belt. Aubrey Edwards and Mike Posey came out to stop her. May pushed Edwards back and went after May again.

As May left the ring, Storm asked her “do you think I forgot?” Storm began to address her as “Timeless” Toni Storm as she took off her clothes to reveal her “Timeless” gear as she said the hardest role to play is yourself. She said that May “came from her womb and I’ll shove you back up there and spit you out.” She threatened to rip “her tits off” and hit the “Timeless” pose.

Hounds of Hell vs. Gates of Agony

Hounds of Hell came out with Julia Hart and their new entrance. Gates of Agony came to the ring with their gear that represents their cultures. Kaun and Buddy start us off. They exchanged shoulder tackles before taking the other down. Liona tagged in and Matthews put him in a headlock. Liona sent him down hard to the mat.

King tagged in and they attempted to take one another down. They moved on to forearms and chops. Liona got King on his shoulders, but King got down. King put Liona on his shoulders. Liona was shoved to the corner and Kaun tagged in. They double teamed him in the corner until the five count. Kaun chopped King a few times. Liona got in chops. King took them both down. Liona got sent to the other corner. Buddy with rapid fire hands and knees. Matthews sent Liona over the ropes and he followed up with a tope suicida and took out Gates of Agony.

After the break, Liona sent King into the time keeper’s table. Gates of Agony are double teaming Matthews. Kaun punched Matthews as King crawled on the floor. Matthews sent Liona into Kaun and they both went outside. King tagged in and took down Liona with a crossbody and then with a lariat. King with a back body drop on Kaun. He tossed Liona on top of Kaun. He followed with a Death Valley Driver on Liona, but Kaun broke up the pin.

Liona headbutted King and did a Samoan Drop. Gates of Agony were setting up King when Mattews took Liona’s knee out. Matthews with a kneelift and a boot. King with a Bossman Slam on King. Liona kicked King in the head and picked him up, but King got out of it. King with a piledriver, but Liona got up. Matthews with a Meteora from the top. They double teamed Kaun with a dropkick and cannonball, allowing King to pin him for the win.

Winner: Hounds of Hell

After the match, Harley Cameron met The Costco Guys. They were interrupted by The Vendetta. Taya said Cameron wants a shot at the TBS Championship, but hasn’t “gotten a win on the TV”. She said Purrazzo was going to win tonight and face Moné on Wednesday.

Deonna Purrazzo (w/ Taya Valkyrie) vs. Serena Deeb vs. Yuka Sakazaki vs. Queen Aminata

After the bell rang, Purrazzo left the ring. Deeb rolled up Aminata and Yuka rolled up Deeb. Purrazzo rolled up Aminata and left the ring. Valkyrie backed up Aminata. Deeb hit Yuka a couple times before Aminata did a vertical suplex on Deen. Yuka with a sliding lariat on Aminata. Purrazzo broke up pin and threw Yuka out of the ring. Taya stomped on Yuka while Purrazzo and Aminata fought.

Deeb with a drop toehold on Aminata and a suplex on Purrazzo. Deeb did an Irish Whip on Aminata, but Aminata sent her to the corner. Deeb did a neckbreaker over the rope and sat on the apron. Purrazzo dropkicked Deeb off the apron. Aminata took her down with overhand chops. Yuka hit a shotgun dropkick on Aminata. Yuka did a crossbody to take out all three opponents on the outside.

Following the break, Purrazzo put Aminata in the Fujiwara Armbar. Aminata reversed into a roll up for a pin, but Purrazzo got out. Aminata suplexed Purrazzo and Purrazzo responded with a running knee. They took each other down at the same time. Aminata, Purrazzo, and Sakazaki were all down in the ring when Deeb got in the ring and went for Yuka. Yuka sent her into the corner and hit her with an enzuiguri. Yuka followed with a crossbody. Purrazzo broke up the pin.

Aminata took Purrazzo down with a forearm and then suplexed Deeb.Deeb put her in a hammerlock and pinned her for two. Yuka kicked Deeb. Deeb and Aminata fought on the ramp and steps. Yuka had Purrazzo, but Taya broke it up before Yuka could do anything. The Vendetta double teamed Yuka when Cameron made the save. Purrazzo took Cameron down with a pumpkick to the face. She powerbombed Yuka and put her in the Fujiwara Armbar, but Yuka reversed out. Yuka rolled Purrazzo up for the win.

Winner: Yuka Sakazaki

We hear from Big Bill

In a backstage segment with Hounds of Hell, Nair asked what’s their message to the locker room. King said when they bark, they bark together. Laughter is heard off camera and it’s Okada. Matthews got in his face to ask what was so funny. Okada replied that he barks “like a b—”. Matthews challenged him to a title match. Okada laughed and said no while flipping him off. King had to make Murphy leave.

After the break, Big Bill is in the ring with a mic. Bill said he’d make sure Hobbs got locked up for what he did. Bill demanded Hobbs and his bum knee hobble out here. Hobbs fought through security to make it to the ring. Hobbs hit with forearms until Bill went for the knee. Hobbs left and Bill followed him with a backpack. He hit Hobbs with it. Bill dumped out the contents to reveal bricks, handcuffs, and his knee brace. Bill struggled with the hnadcuffs and beat Hobbs with it until he bled in the face. They fought in front of the crowd and over to commentary. Bill hit Hobbs face first into the table and hit Hobbs with a chair several times. Hobbs is still defiant, but Bill followed him back in front of the crowd and hit him with a chair. Back by the entrance, Bill knocked him down and hit him with punches. He grabbed a brick, but Hobbs got up and kicked him in the yambags. Hobbs fought him before picking him up and did a belly-to-belly off the stage into a table. 

We got a pre-tape of the Don Callis Family meeting in Callis’ palatial estate. Callis noted that this was a different Kenny Omega, one that was bloodthirsty and ready to spill Callis’ blood. Cage brought up how they had the numbers advantage as it was five-on-two, but Callis reminded him that a barely focused Omega won three World Titles with Callis by his side. Callis said that Cage was wrong that there were only five of them, with the camera focusing on a sixth plate at the table.

AEW International Title Match – Konosuke Takeshita (c) defeated Katsuyori Shibata

The two grappled to start the match, with Shibata almost scoring with the Penalty Kick. Shibata cornered Takeshita, but Takeshita fired out of the corner with a lariat. Takeshita took Shibata over the barricade and went for a running boot, but Shibata caught him with a boot and knocked him over a chair as we went to commercial.

Shibata hammered Takeshita in the corner as we came back from the break, landing the hesitation dropkick and the half-hatch suplex for a nearfall. Shibata teed off with kicks, but Takeshita came back with strikes of his own. Takeshita landed a big forearm, but Shibata came back with an STO. The two traded forearms before Shibata snatched on a sleeper hold. Takeshita tried to fall back, but Shibata held on to the hold.

Takeshita transitioned out of the sleeper into a Bastard Driver and a German suplex, but Shibata hammered Takeshita with a Penalty Kick as the fans chanted AEW. Shibata locked in the Cobra Twist as Don Callis went to ringside from the announce booth. The two men traded suplexes before Shibata got the sleeper hold on again. Callis cut off the Penalty Kick, allowing Takeshita to counter the sleeper with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a one count.

Takeshita ran through Shibata with a lariat and the Powerdrive Knee before landing Raging Fire for the win.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita

1/25 AEW Collision Preview

AEW returns to Daily’s Place tonight, the venue that became synonymous with the company during its Pandemic Era. To celebrate, the main event features a special Trios match as Daniel Garcia, Daddy Magic, and the returning “Cool Hand” Ang team up to take on The Undisputed Kingdom.

After being postponed due to inclement weather on Wednesday, the much-anticipated Samoa Joe vs. Nick Wayne match will take place tonight. Joe, who made his AEW return last week to assist HOOK and Katsuyori Shibata after The Patriarchy’s attack, looks to continue his momentum.

Katsuyori Shibata, fresh off his win on the 100th episode of ROH, will face Konosuke Takeshita tonight. Takeshita, backed by Don Callis, has issued a challenge and will put his International Championship on the line in what promises to be a high-stakes encounter. Additionally, AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada will defend his title against ROH World TV Champion Komander in another can’t-miss title match.

The women’s division takes center stage with a four-way Number One Contender’s match. Deonna Purrazzo, Queen Aminata, Yuka Sakazaki, and Serena Deeb will battle for a chance to challenge Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship next week on Dynamite. Meanwhile, AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May is set to come face-to-face with Toni Storm ahead of their clash at “Grand Slam Australia.”

Brody King and Buddy Matthews, dubbing themselves “just violence,” will square off against Gates of Agony. With Malakai Black’s departure, fans are eager to see if the duo reveals their new team name.
