WWE RAW Sees Significant Decline in Viewership for December 9 Episode – WWE RAW on December 9 saw a notable drop in viewership, drawing 1.386 million viewers, a sharp decline from the 1.709 million viewers the show garnered on December 2. This marks the lowest average viewership for the program since September 23, 2024, indicating a concerning trend for the Monday night staple.
In addition to the decrease in total viewership, RAW also posted a 0.43 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, down from the 0.52 demo rating achieved the previous week. This marks the lowest demo rating since October 28, 2024, signaling that the show struggled to retain its core, younger audience.
A significant factor in this decline was the heavy competition RAW faced from the Monday Night Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys. That game drew an impressive audience, averaging over 18 million viewers across ESPN, ESPN2, and ABC. At its peak, the game reached 20.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched Week 14 Monday Night Football game since 2001. The overwhelming popularity of the NFL matchup undoubtedly played a key role in RAW’s ratings drop.
Despite these challenges, WWE will be looking to bounce back in the coming weeks, with potential storylines and matchups aimed at reigniting viewer interest and regaining lost momentum.
