In a recent update shared by Bryan Alvarez, Matelson is reportedly “doing much better” and working hard toward an eventual return to the ring. Alvarez highlighted the critical role AEW’s medical team and Tony Khan played in his recovery, noting that their proactive measures may have saved his life.
Alvarez explained:
“He is doing much better. I am told he is working hard towards a comeback and credits Tony Khan and AEW medical staff for not only being patient with this, but also telling him to stay home the week before he collapsed, which may have saved his life. It was very serious.”
Competing under the name Killswitch in AEW storylines, Matelson’s last in-ring appearance occurred at AEW All In this past August during the Casino Battle Royale. While his timeline for returning remains uncertain, his progress is encouraging, and fans are eager to see him back in action.
