LIVE 12/13 WWE SmackDown Results – We are live from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, as Jimmy Uso makes his way to the ring with his crutch.

The crowd yeets and Jimmy says it is the wrong twin.  Jimmy says War Games was lit.  He says War Games meant everything to him because you are sitting there with a bunch of family.   Family you might not like.  Family you might fight.  You can still throw the ones up.  He says they came out on top.  War Games is behind us.  What is in front of us?  Jimmy says for years he has watched his family dominate and entertain the WWE Universe since he was a kid.  He says they get to live this dream every single day.  He says he watched Roman Reigns be the most dominant champion and he watched that.   He says he watched his twin brother become one of the hottest superstars.  From a childhood memory to a real dream.  He says he is proud of that.  Jimmy says he is proud of Solo. 

He is also finding himself asking what is next for him.  What are you going to do?  He says he doesn’t know.  He says he wants everyone to ride with him.  It will be a big year for him.  It might be Royal Rumble winner.  He might go after the US Title.  He says he might as well go after the Undisputed Championship too.  Big year and nothing is going to stop him from doing what he loves to do.  Jimmy says he showed up with one big toe.  A new year is coming for him.

Drew McIntyre with a Claymore out of nowhere! He then mounts Uso and starts punching him. Nick Aldis, Shane Helms, Jamie Noble and Shawn Divari come out with referees and break it up before McIntyre gets out of hand.

Backstage:

Tiffany Stratton is in LOCKER ROOM and Candice and Nia show up and ask if she is ready.  Nia says she has all faith in Tiffany and says that when she wins the title, she doesn’t need the briefcase any more.  You will be the first ever champ so you don’t need anything else. Candice says Tiffany will blow them away.

We go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Nick continues to berate Drew as they walk in the back.  Nick says it is a giant headache because of him.

Bianca and Naomi stop Nick and Bianca asks if this is a good time to talk.  Nick asks Drew to go into his office. Bianca asks if it is about Jade and Nick says the investigation is still ongoing.  He says Bianca will have to relinquish the tag titles because of this.  Bianca says she won’t do that.  Naomi says Bianca has never relinquished anything before and she will be Bianca’s partner.  Bianca says it has been done before and she wants it to happen. Nick says he will discuss it, but they will have to be fighting champions and ready to defend next week.

WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament – Semifinal: Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton

They lock up and Tiffany with a clean break.  They lock up and Tiffany sends Michin to the mat.  Michin with a double leg take down and punches.  Michin with a drop kick and forearms in the corner.  Tiffany with an Irish whip but she runs into a boot.  Michin with a head scissors take down out of the corner.  Michin avoids being sent into the ropes and Michin sends Tiffany to the floor and hits a drop kick through the ropes.  Tiffany blocks a kick and Tiffany sends Michin face first into the apron and follows with a double stomp on the apron.

Tiffany sends Michin into the apron but Michin blocks when Tiffany tries a second time and she sends Tiffany into the apron.  Tiffany with a kick and she sends Michin into the turnbuckles a few times.  Tiffany kicks Michin in the corner.  Tiffany gets a near fall.  Michin with a rollup for a near fall.  Tiffany gets a near fall.  Tiffany with a reverse chin lock.  Tiffany gets a near fall.  Tiffany sets for a suplex but Michin blocks it and hits a suplex of her own for a near fall.  Tiffany with a forearm and she chokes Michin in the ropes.  Tiffany with a forearm to the back.  Tiffany chokes Michin in the ropes and hits a running hip to the back for a near fall.

Tiffany sets for the Prettiest Moonsault Ever but Michin rolls to the apron.  MIchin misses a stomp on the apron and Michin with a kick from the apron.  Michin with a tornado DDT and a second one.  MIchin tries for Eat Defeat but Tiffany blocks it.  MIchin grabs the ropes to stop an Alabama Slam but Michin with a tarantula.  Michin goes to the turnbuckles and misses a missile drop kick.  Tiffany rolls through and hits an Alabama Slam for a near fall.  Michin with a sleeper and she gets on Tiffany’s back.  Tiffany backs Michin into the ropes and she puts Michin on the turnbuckles.  Michin with a head butt and TIffany crotches Michin and she gets Michin on the shoulders for a Finlay Slam and she hits Michin with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever but Michin rolls into it and does not take the full effect.  Michin with Eat Defeat for the three count.

Winner:  Michin (advances to Finals)

We Hear from DIY

Johnny Gargano says August 2, 2024, he returns home to Cleveland as champion.  It was supposed to be his greatest night, but what happened.  Ciampa says they got screwed.  Johnny says he was embarrassed in front of his two year old son.  He said he would do whatever it would take to get the titles back.  Ciampa says the Motor City Machine Guns jumped to the front of the line and took their spots.  While you looked left, they stepped right.

Gargano says it was good to see his friend Alex Shelley.  They did so much for tag team wrestling and they deserved their flowers.  Ciampa says they are off to better days because they are two time tag team champions.  

We go to commercial.

We Hear from Roman Reigns

He says it has been a rough year.  Not that long ago, they ran everything.  Then in the spring and through the summer, it all fell apart.  He lost his title, he lost his wise man, he lost the Bloodline.  The entire Bloodline.  Most importantly, he lost his ula fala.  The thing is, four years ago, you weren’t here Solo.  He didn’t take the ula fala, he earned it.  His father and uncle crowned him with that opportunity because he was the man to lead this family.  All he cares about is his family and the ula family.  January 6th on Netflix.  It is Tribal Combat.  Your Bloodline won one and mine won one.  We let the tribes watch.  Chief versus Chief.  

On January 6th, he takes back his Bloodline.  On January 6th, he takes back his ula fala.  On January 6th, he takes back his respect.  When he gets back that respect, the whole world will have no choice but to acknowledge him.

Backstage:

Nick is with Legado and Santos says he has Nick figured out and he knows that he liked to play favorites. The talk about The Street Profits and Jade Cargill being attacked.  Who is running this bingo?  He says maybe they will be better off on Raw with Adam Pearce.

Carmelo Hayes talks about his mystery opponent and says it will be light work.

Hayes walks to commercial.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Braun Strowman

Hayes wants to discuss facing someone else with the referee.  Hayes pushes Braun and Braun grabs Hayes by the throat.  Hayes with punches and Braun misses a clothesline.  Hayes with a springboard clothesline but he bounces off Braun.  Braun misses a kick and elbow drop.  Hayes with forearms and they have no effect.  Braun goes for a power slam but Hayes escapes.  Braun runs into the ring post when Hayes moves.  Hayes with a drop kick to the knees and a springboard DDT for a near fall.  Hayes goes up top and Braun catches Hayes and hits a running power slam for the three count.

Winner:  Braun Strowman

Hayes says he wasn’t ready as he goes to the back.

Backstage:

Byron Saxton asks LA Knight about Solo Sikoa. Knight is going to talk to ya.  He says he is in the building.  What he has done his entire career is handle his business and only his business and do it his way.  He said no to the Bloodline business because it wasn’t about him.  He says he is worried about gold.  That red necklace has nothing to do for him.  He says the entire family can go to hell.  The only person in the family he cares about is Jey.  You let your red necklace get in the way of his gold.  He says Solo will know whose game it is.

We go to commercial.

LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa

Solo Sikoa comes to the ring with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga. Solo wants Hartford to acknowledge him.  Solo starts to address Roman’s comments but LA Knight’s music interrupts.

They have words for each other before punches are thrown and Knight with the first punch.  They go back and forth.  Solo with a clothesline into the corner followed by a punch.  Solo with more punches and kicks.  Knight with a kick and clothesline.  Knight with a running splash to the back and a clothesline to send Solo over the top rope to the floor.  Solo pulls Knight to the floor and runs him into the apron.  Solo sends Knight into the announce table and then he points to the ceiling.  Solo sends Knight into the ringside barrier.  Knight gets back into the ring and Solo with a head butt.  Knight goes to the floor again and Solo follows.

Knight Irish whips Solo into the ring steps.Knight sends Solo into the announce table and he follows with punches.  Knight with punches but Solo with a Samoan drop.  Solo with a head butt to Knight followed by punches.  Solo with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot.  Knight with a bulldog and then he drops down and Solo goes over the top rope to the floor.  Knight goes for a drop kick through the ropes and Tama pushes Solo out of the way.  Solo with a uranage onto the announce table.  Solo with a running hip into the corner.  Solo with punches.  Solo with a hard Irish whip.

Solo with an Irish whip but he misses a splash when Knight gets out of the way.  Knight with punches and a flatliner for a near fall.  Solo with a hot shot to Knight and a clothesline for a near fall.  Solo chokes Knight in the ropes.  Solo goes to the floor and he sets for a drive by and hits it.  Solo sets for a Superman punch but Knight moves and Knight with a belly-to-back suplex.  Both men struggle to get back to their feet.  Knight with punches and a jumping clothesline.  Knight with punches and kicks in the corner.

Knight with a running knee into the corner.  Knight goes for a BFT but Solo escapes and goes to the floor.  Knight with a double clothesline to Tama and Fatu off the apron.  Knight with a back drop to Fatu onto the announce table.  Solo with a super kick and he tries for a Samoan Spike but Knight moves and hits a uranage.  Knight goes to the turnbuckles for a double jump elbow drop for a near fall.  

Fatu pops up from under the announce table and he grabs Knight and pulls him to the floor.  The referee calls for the bell.

Winner:  LA Knight (by disqualification)

After the match, Fatu sends Knight into the ringside barrier and hits a running hip strike.  Solo with a Samoan Spike. Andrade and Apollo Crews come to the ring to make the save. Andrade with a forearm to Tama. Solo with a Samoan spike to Andrade and then to Crews.

Backstage:

Braun Strowman walks in the back and Pretty Deadly stop him and they say that they have been looking for the perfect monster for PRETTY DEADLY… THE MUSICAL. Braun takes a flyer and gives it back to Kit.

Austin Theory and Grayson Waller interrupt Byron and Braun. Waller says Braun needs a journalist to ask the hard questions so he invites Braun onto the Grayson Waller Effect. Braun accepts.

Back to commercial.

WWE Women’s United States Championship Tournament – Semifinal: Bayley vs. Chelsea Green

Bayley with a take down and she gets a near fall.  Green goes to the floor and she tells Piper she wasn’t ready.  Bayley pulls Green back into the ring and Bayley with a La Magistral for a near fall.  Green gets a near fall.  Bayley with a near fall and Green with a near fall of her own.  Green kicks Bayley.  Green with a punch and an Irish whip but she runs into an elbow.  Bayley with an arm drag and a sliding clothesline for a near fall.  Green with an Irish whip and Bayley floats over and connects with an arm drag.  Bayley with a La Magistral for a near fall.  Green goes to the floor.  Bayley with a baseball slide to Green’s back.  Green runs away from Bayley and they return to the ring.  Piper tries to distract Bayley but it does not work.

Bayley with forearms and then Piper trips Bayley and Green with an elbow and she gets a near fall.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Green with a kick and a sliding flatliner for a near fall.  Green with a reverse chin lock.  Bayley tries to escape but Green holds on.  Green pulls Bayley down by the hair and they go to the apron.  Bayley backs Green into the ring post and Bayley follows with a forearm.  Green fires back and they continue the exchange.  Bayley with a hanging cutter in the ropes.  Bayley with a sliding clothesline on the floor followed by punches.  Bayley with a suplex with Green hanging on the apron.  Bayley sends Green back into the ring and Bayley with a Saito suplex for a near fall.  Bayley goes to the turnbuckles but Green stops her and hits a running knee to the mdisection.

Green goes to the turnbuckles but misses a Vader Bomb.  Bayley with a knee to the head and a sunset flip power bomb into the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Green escapes a belly-to-belly suplex and Green gets a near fall.  Bayley avoids a lungblower by holding onto the ropes.  Green with a Rough Ryder for a near fall.  Bayley with a Zig Zag to Green and she goes up top for the elbow drop but Piper pulls Green to the floor.  Bayley with an elbow to Piper off the turnbuckles.  Green sends Bayley into the timekeeper’s area and the referee starts his count.  Bayley beats the count and Green with UnprettiHer for the three count.

Winner:  Chelsea Green (advances to face Michin in Finals)

We Hear from Chris Sabin

Chris Sabin says they came to WWE to make a statement and that happened when they won the titles in their third match.  They rubbed some people the wrong way.  There were the Street Profits and Tommaso Ciampa, but he didn’t expect it from Johnny Gargano.  One low blow ruins 18 years of friendship.  It is not about the titles any more, it is a fight.  Alex says Johnny finds out next week why he is the teacher and Johnny is the student.

We Hear from Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura says a shift has happened.  He says one by one they will fall, broken and humiliatd.  LA Knight held on to something he never deserved and something he never should have touched.  Nakamura says he has what is no longer his.  Nakamura says he is imminent and inevitable.

Backstage:

Tiffany Stratton walks in the back and Nia tells Tiffany it was a tough night.  Not everyone is meant to be a singles champion like her. Candice says she has great news.  While Tiffy was trying her best.  Candice says they have a tag title match next week against Naomi and Bianca.Candice says she knows Tiffy couldn’t bring gold to her group but now Nia can have two titles. Nia says they should brainstorm about the match. Candice tells Tiffy maybe singles wrestling isn’t her speed. Tiffany holds the briefcase.

– Cody Rhodes walks backstage before his confrontation with Kevin Owens that’s moderated by Michael Cole – which we get after this commercial break.

In the Arena:

We are back and Michael Cole is in the ring. He brings out Cody Rhodes first. Cole introduces Kevin Owens, but he does not make his way to the ring.

Cody says Kevin is not here, but this crowd is here so he says they will do it as professionals and do this interview. Cole asks Cody if they have to go to the car and Cody says they can do it in the ring. Cole asks about what Triple H is going to allow Cody to use tomorrow at Saturday Night’s Main Event and he wants to know what it is.

Cody is in his car and he says no one cares about the Golden Boy.  Kevin says to prove that he is unbiased and ask the question everyone wants answered.  How can Cody use him and all of his friends to end his stupid and pathetic story at Wrestlemania and then team with Roman at Bad Blood.  Kevin tells Cody to do the impossible and be honest and tell Michael it is because he is as bad a friend as he is a son and brother.  Kevin tells Cody that no matter how long you are champion and how many main events you are in, the truth will always be that you were more interesting as Stardust.

Cody says Kevin knows the assignment and has more zingers up his sleeve.  Cody says why wait for him to do more of them from where he is.  Cody says he will get Kevin Owens.

Cody leaves the ring and removes is jacket and heads to the back.  

Cody calls for Kevin and Kevin attacks Cody from behind and they exchange punches.  They fight into Gorilla and then into the arena.

Kevin with punches and he pushes him into the guardrail.  Cody with a kick and punches.  Security pulls Cody off Kevin and Cody punches them. 

They get into the ring and Cody wit punches to Kevin.  

Officials join security to try to stop things but it doesn’t work too well.  Cody with a splash to KEvin and more punches.  Cody with a kick to Kevin.  Cody is held by security and an official.  Kevin hits Cody with the title belt and he drops the belt on Cody.

We go to credits.

12/13 WWE SmackDown Preview

One night out from squaring off with each other for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, titleholder Cody Rhodes and his challenger Kevin Owens will be coming face-to-face with each other one last time. After Rhodes defeated Chad Gable in the main event of last week’s edition of “SmackDown”, Owens blindsided him with an attack and targeted his ankle which Gable had worn down during the match.

With the finals of the Women’s United States Championship Tournament set for tomorrow night, the two competitors who will battle it out to become the inaugural titleholder will be revealed tonight as Chelsea Green goes one-on-one with Bayley while Tiffany Stratton collides with Michin in a pair of semi-finals matches. Green defeated Bianca Belair and Blair Davenport in a Triple Threat First Round match to secure her spot in the semi-finals, while Bayley defeated Candice LeRae and B-Fab, Stratton emerged victorious over Naomi and Elektra Lopez, and Michin beat Lash Legend and Piper Niven.

Carmelo Hayes will be competing in his first match on “SmackDown” since coming up short against Cody Rhodes on the November 29 edition of the show when he faces a mystery opponent. While the identity of Hayes’ opponent has yet to be revealed, “SmackDown” General Manager Nick Aldis did reveal in a video posted to WWE’s X page running down the card for tonight’s show that they were the newest addition to the brand.

Additionally, Solo Sikoa will be taking on LA Knight after the former and his Bloodline stablemates left Knight and Andrade laid out in the ring while they were in the midst of a verbal confrontation with each other and United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
