Jim Ross Discusses Christian Cage’s AEW World Title Hopes and Adam Copeland Reunion – Christian Cage’s remarkable run in AEW has garnered widespread acclaim, solidifying his place as one of the company’s premier villains. Leading The Patriarchy and holding a contract for an AEW World Championship opportunity, Cage has positioned himself as a top contender in the promotion.
On the Grilling JR podcast, legendary commentator Jim Ross shared his thoughts on whether Christian Cage will eventually capture the AEW World Championship. Ross expressed confidence in the possibility, despite not having any insider knowledge of AEW’s plans.
“Yeah, I do,” Ross said. “I’ve got nothing to go on, as I try to explain to folks who watch our show. I’m not on the inside anymore. I see the talent, I see Tony Khan at TV, the one TV a month that I go to. I got a great gig, and I’m appreciative of it, and I like my assignments.”
Ross also addressed the potential for a reunion between Christian Cage and Adam Copeland (Edge), who joined AEW earlier this year. According to Ross, their long history and natural chemistry make the idea of them reuniting an intriguing possibility.
“There’s always a chance,” Ross said. “I would be for it because I know their natural chemistry is amazing. I’ve seen them at their best, and at this stage of their career, tagging is not a bad idea—it’s not a bad idea. If you wanted to spark some spark and sizzle in your tag team division, that ain’t a bad way to start.”
With Christian Cage thriving as a solo star and the possibility of rekindling his partnership with Copeland, his AEW journey continues to captivate fans. Whether as a world champion or a revitalizing force in the tag team division, Cage’s future in AEW looks promising.
