Booker T Set to Face Zilla Fatu in Ring Return for ROW – Booker T is gearing up for a return to the ring at Reality of Wrestling (ROW). The six-time world champion will step back between the ropes to face Zilla Fatu at ROW’s event on January 11, 2025.
The announcement came during the ROW Breakout event on December 29, where Fatu issued a fiery challenge to Booker T, accusing him of turning from a mentor into an adversary. The two exchanged heated words before Booker T accepted the challenge.
This match marks Booker T’s first in-ring action since appearing as a surprise entrant in the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble. His last non-Rumble match was at ROW’s Summer of Champions VIII event in July 2022. Despite his limited in-ring appearances in recent years, Booker T has remained active in wrestling as a commentator for WWE NXT and through his leadership of ROW, where he continues to train and mentor talent.
Zilla Fatu, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Umaga, has made strides in the independent wrestling scene, competing for ROW, House of Glory (HOG), Limitless Wrestling, and other promotions. In early 2024, Fatu and Booker T had publicly reconciled, with Booker expressing his commitment to helping Fatu progress in his wrestling career, potentially guiding him toward a future in WWE.
The bout adds a compelling chapter to their evolving dynamic, as Fatu looks to prove himself against the man who once pledged to mentor him. Fans will be eager to see whether Booker T’s experience or Fatu’s drive will prevail when they collide on January 11.
