Bandido Suffers Concussion at ROH Final Battle – Bandido’s return to the ring was cut short due to an unfortunate injury. According to Dave Meltzer, the talented luchador suffered a concussion during his comeback at ROH Final Battle. Bandido made his presence felt by saving Matt Cardona from Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith. However, the injury occurred when Bandido executed a missile dropkick off the top rope, landing awkwardly on the back of his head.
Meltzer reported, “We are told Bandido did suffer a concussion Friday night from landing on the back of his head doing a missile dropkick after the Chris Jericho win over Matt Cardona. Obviously, Jericho vs. Bandido was scheduled in an ROH title match at some point. With concussions, you don’t know what it means as far as how long someone will be out of action.”
Despite the injury, Bandido managed to finish the segment, taking out Jericho and the rest of The Learning Tree before closing the show. This marks another setback for the high-flyer, who had been sidelined since last summer following two surgeries to address a wrist injury. AEW had been building anticipation for his return with vignettes in the weeks leading up to Final Battle.
The timeline for Bandido’s recovery remains uncertain, as concussion recovery can vary greatly depending on the severity. Fans will undoubtedly be eager to see him back in action, especially with the potential for a high-profile match against Jericho once he’s cleared.
