AEW Continental Classic: Updated Standings – With four matches completed and five remaining in the AEW Continental Classic, the race for the top four spots and a chance to advance to next Saturday’s Worlds End pay-per-view remains wide open.
In the Gold League, Ricochet emerged as a frontrunner after a controversial win over Will Ospreay on 12/21 AEW Collision, securing nine points. Ricochet will face Darby Allin on Dynamite, with Allin only able to hope for a tie at best. Claudio Castagnoli also reached nine points following his win over Allin, aided by brass knuckles. Castagnoli will take on Komander, who is eliminated with zero points and can only play spoiler.
Ospreay, despite his loss, still has a shot at a tiebreaker if he defeats Brody King. King, with six points, could also force a tie for first with a victory, thanks to his win over Komander on Rampage.
In the Blue League, TNT Champion Daniel Garcia picked up a major win over Shelton Benjamin, moving into a tie for second place with Kazuchika Okada at seven points each. Garcia will face league leader Kyle Fletcher on Dynamite, while Okada will clash with Benjamin. Benjamin, with six points, remains mathematically alive but will need help to advance.
Mark Briscoe, also at nine points, has completed his matches but holds a tiebreaker over Fletcher. Briscoe could still tie for the top if Fletcher loses, and both Okada and Garcia fail to win. Beast Mortos and Komander have been mathematically eliminated from contention.
The Gold League winner will face the Blue League runner-up, and vice versa, at Worlds End. The winners of those matches will then meet in the tournament final the same night.
