The Rock Admits to Using Water Bottles as Toilets on Movie Sets – The Rock has a famously packed schedule balancing his businesses, movie career, and intense workout regimen, often making unconventional choices to save time.
In a GQ interview, he confirmed some unusual habits while on set, addressing a report from The Wrap that claimed he was once up to eight hours late and resorted to urinating in water bottles to keep on schedule. While he verified these reports, he clarified the extent of his tardiness, calling the alleged hours of delay an exaggeration. “That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous,” he remarked.
As for the water bottle practice, The Rock explained it’s occasionally necessary to keep up his fast-paced routine. “I’ve said a thousand times: ‘Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth,’” he stated, addressing the curiosity surrounding his commitment to staying efficient.
On the set of his upcoming action-comedy film Red One, The Rock’s generosity has also made headlines. His co-star Chris Evans revealed that The Rock personally gifted $100,000 in total to various crew members. The film, set for a November 15 release, features a star-studded cast, including J.K. Simmons, Lucy Liu, Kiernan Shipka, and Nick Kroll. Directed by Jake Kasdan—who previously worked with The Rock on Jumanji—and written by Hobbs & Shaw screenwriter Chris Morgan, Red One combines action with holiday cheer, marking another major project in The Rock’s cinematic lineup.
