Rumor Killer on Becky Lynch’s WWE Contract Status – Rumors surrounding Becky Lynch’s WWE contract demands have been dismissed in a new report, clarifying the circumstances around her recent absence from the company. Jonathan Coachman recently suggested on his Backstage Pass show that Lynch was asking for over $2 million per year to stay with WWE, a demand he claimed WWE declined. According to Coachman, this salary disagreement led to her departure.
However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has countered this claim, citing multiple informed sources who firmly deny the story. Sapp’s report states that Lynch and WWE remain on good terms, with WWE fully respecting her decision to take time off. Sources reportedly confirmed that had Lynch wanted to sign a contract before her departure, WWE would have likely agreed to it.
Additionally, the $2 million figure was outright dismissed as inaccurate, with WWE sources saying that if Lynch had genuinely requested that amount, the company would have quickly agreed to it. Sapp noted that Lynch’s earnings potential is even higher than the reported figure based on WWE’s current pay scale, underscoring her status as one of the top earners in the company.
The report further emphasizes that both WWE and Lynch expect to work together again if the timing aligns. Lynch has been off WWE television since her loss to Liv Morgan on the May 27 episode of WWE RAW and has since entered free agency. While her contract has indeed expired, Lynch’s hiatus is believed to be a personal choice rather than the result of a financial dispute.
