Bo Dallas Names Stephen King’s The Stand as Inspiration for Wyatt Six – Bo Dallas recently shared how influential horror author Stephen King has been on his and his late brother Bray Wyatt’s wrestling personas. Both passionate fans of horror, Dallas and Wyatt wove elements of the genre into their careers, creating unsettling, enigmatic characters that captivated audiences. Speaking with Collider, Dallas revealed that King’s work, particularly the 1994 miniseries adaptation of The Stand, left a lasting impression on their creative vision. Randall Flagg, a central character in The Stand, served as a major influence in shaping the unsettling energy that became a hallmark of their wrestling personas.

“Growing up, me and Windham were obsessed with horror movies. We loved everything from the classics to the really obscure stuff,” Dallas explained. “One of our biggest influences was the ‘90s version of The Stand by Stephen King. We both loved that, and it’s funny because when we were coming up with ideas for characters, we both independently decided to draw inspiration from Randall Flagg without even realizing the other was doing it.”

Bo Dallas continued to speak about his late brother. He noted how he sees the fans turning on their phone torches to make his “fireflies” is a way of collective grieving. Additionally, Bo Dallas added that the current Wyatt Sicks storyline is what is keeping him going after losing his brother.

“The way this is received by the WWE Universe and everybody watching, it’s just a different feeling. It is as if we’re grieving together , and I think people can feel our intentions and what we’re trying to do. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever been involved with… we’re trying to get through this together because we miss him, and we want him back.”

“This is everything I love. It’s what’s keeping me going right now. I know I’m in the right place, and I’m doing the right thing .”

The horror influences became evident as they worked to bring The Wyatt Sicks, a faction inspired by dark and otherworldly themes, to WWE. Tragically, this vision couldn’t fully materialize before Wyatt’s untimely passing. Nonetheless, Dallas emphasized that the spirit of their shared inspiration lives on in their work, honoring the memory and creativity that he and Wyatt cultivated together. For fans of both horror and wrestling, Dallas’s tribute offers insight into how King’s powerful storytelling continues to inspire and shape wrestling’s darker, more psychological characters.
