AEW/ROH Wrestler Set to Return to In-Ring Action Soon – AEW is set to see another talent return to action soon, as Cole Karter, formerly known as Troy “Two Dimes” Donovan in WWE NXT, is nearing a comeback.
Karter, who first gained attention as part of Tony D’Angelo’s faction in NXT, was released in 2022 following a reported policy violation. After his WWE departure, Karter caught AEW’s attention during a tryout at a Dark taping, leading to his signing with the company.
Since joining AEW, Karter has been featured across the promotion’s programming, but he has been absent from television since early June due to a broken arm that required surgery. Now, according to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Karter has either been medically cleared or is close to it, setting the stage for his in-ring return. With AEW’s deep roster, talent returns like Karter’s add to the promotion’s potential matchups and storylines across its various shows, including Dynamite, Collision, and Rampage, as well as ROH events.
