Update on Drew McIntyre and CM Punk Status for WWE Crown Jewel – WWE’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event is set for Saturday, November 2, 2024, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, but fans should note the absence of two significant stars.
The event will feature the highly anticipated match between Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER, alongside a title bout for the Women’s World Championship pitting Liv Morgan against Nia Jax, both for the Crown Jewel Championships.
Recently, CM Punk announced he would be taking time off after his trilogy feud with Drew McIntyre culminated in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. During this encounter, McIntyre suffered a severe injury, requiring 16 staples to close a gash on his head caused by a toolbox strike from Punk. Following the incident, McIntyre has been absent from WWE television.
Reports from PWInsider indicate there are currently no plans for either CM Punk or McIntyre to participate in Crown Jewel. However, sources suggest that fans shouldn’t be surprised to see one or both stars return by mid to late November, provided McIntyre receives medical clearance following his injury.
