Shelton Benjamin Reportedly Heading to AEW – Just days after MVP’s AEW debut, it seems another former WWE star is on the verge of joining the company. Last week on Dynamite, MVP appeared in a promo with Prince Nana, sending a message to Swerve Strickland. Bobby Lashley is expected to follow soon, with reports suggesting that the two are planning to reunite in AEW under the rumored name “Hurt Syndicate.”
Earlier reports of MVP and Lashley leaving WWE hinted that Shelton Benjamin would also join them in AEW, and it now appears this is coming to fruition. According to Ibou of WrestlePurists, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion is expected to sign with AEW after being linked to the promotion earlier this year.
Talks between Benjamin and AEW initially took place in March, but no deal was reached at the time. While it remains unclear exactly when Benjamin will make his debut, his arrival seems imminent, potentially marking a significant reunion of the former Hurt Business members under a new banner in AEW.
