Backstage Update on Kevin Owens Contract with WWE – WWE has re-signed many top talents throughout 2024, and it appears Kevin Owens is set to stay with the company. Earlier this year, Owens mentioned that his contract was due to expire soon, with nine months left. Since then, there have been no official updates regarding his contract status.
WrestleVotes recently reported through SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass that Owens is close to finalizing a new deal with WWE. “I did reach out and talked to a couple of people. [I] didn’t get a definitive one way or the other, an absolute [that] the deal has been signed, but [I] did get a positive response that it’s very close if not completed with a handshake. So I’d imagine he’s around for the long term now.”
Owens is currently involved in a major storyline. He is turning heel after attacking Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in the parking lot following WWE Bad Blood. Additionally, Owens assaulted Randy Orton on the October 11 episode of SmackDown, further cementing his villainous role. This storyline is expected to play a significant part in Owens’ future direction, as he continues to be a prominent figure on WWE programming.
