Xia Zhao is Coming to TNA – Former WWE Superstar Xia Li, now going by her real name Xia Zhao (Zhao Xia), is set to make her debut in TNA Wrestling soon. A special vignette aired during the post-TNA Emergence 2024 episode of TNA iMPACT on AXS TV and TNA+ on September 5, 2024, teasing her upcoming arrival.
The vignette, featuring dramatic visuals and Xia Zhao’s voiceover, stated: “The initial spark is a symbol of my awakening. And from this point on, there is no turning back,” marking her transformation and heralding a fresh start in TNA.
Xia Zhao, who broke ground as the first female Chinese wrestler in WWE, initially joined the company in 2017 and participated in the first Mae Young Classic. She also took part in the second edition of the tournament. In 2019, she joined NXT, competed in that year’s Royal Rumble, and had a notable run as Tian Sha in NXT.
After transitioning to SmackDown in 2021, Xia Zhao briefly appeared on RAW starting in 2023, where she had a notable feud with Becky Lynch and also competed in the Royal Rumble match. Her last WWE appearance was at the Main Event taping on April 15, 2024.
Fans are eagerly anticipating her debut, especially given her athletic background and unique in-ring style from her time in WWE as Xia Li.
