WWE to Hold Fewer Live Events in the U.S. – WWE is reportedly planning to reduce the number of live events, or house shows, held in the United States over the next few months. According to a report from Fightful Select, there appears to be a shift in the company’s approach to domestic live events as the year comes to a close.
As it stands, WWE has only two live events scheduled in the U.S. before Christmas, set for September 28 and 29. After that, there are no domestic house shows planned for nearly 90 days. The exception to this is a house show in Orlando on December 28, which will coincide with AEW’s Worlds End event. Despite this slowdown, the WWE Holiday Tour is expected to proceed, given its historical success for the company.
WWE’s focus seems to be shifting towards international live events, with tours scheduled in the United Kingdom for October and November. This follows a busy year of international touring, including visits to Europe, Japan, and Mexico throughout 2024.
While WWE talent has not been explicitly informed about a reduction in domestic house shows, many have noticed the trend. The move towards a lighter domestic schedule and more international events has reportedly been well-received by the talent, who seem to favor the reduced workload.
