Updated Card for TNA Victory Road Following 9/5 iMPACT Episode – Joe Hendry will face Josh Alexander at TNA Victory Road on September 13.
The bout was made official following the September 5th episode of TNA iMPACT!
Alexander cost Hendry the chance to win the TNA World Heavyweight Title at TNA Slammiversary when he pinned him in the six-way elimination match moments after Hendry pinned reigning champion Moose to eliminate him and ensure a new champion. Nic Nemeth would go on to win the title on that night.
It was also announced that Zachary Wentz will defend his TNA X-Division Championship against “Speedball” Mike Bailey.
Wentz won the TNA X-Division Title at TNA Emergence in an Ultimate X match. Bailey entered the match as champion. The closing portion of the bout saw Wentz and Bailey battling to retrieve the title with Wentz kicking Bailey off, securing the title for himself.
Two more title bouts were announced for TNA Victory Road.
The System (Moose, Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Masha Slamovich, & JDC) opened the September 5th episode of TNA iMPACT!, and set up two tag team title bouts for TNA Victory Road.
To begin, Myers & Edwards invoked their rematch clause for the TNA Tag Team Titles, setting up a title match against ABC (Chris Bey & Ace Austin) at TNA Victory Road. ABC defeated The System at TNA Slammiversary to win the titles.
Alisha, who was sporting a neck brace, then spoke and said that she and Masha Slamovich would grant Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) a shot at the TNA Knockouts Tag Titles at TNA Victory Road. If Spitfire loses, they must break up.
Alisha was placed in concussion protocol after TNA Emergence.
