Update on Swerve Strickland’s Potential AEW WrestleDream Appearance – Swerve Strickland will be making his return to AEW sooner than expected as the company approaches the WrestleDream pay-per-view on October 12th. Strickland has been off TV since his brutal Unsanctioned Steel Cage Match against Hangman Page at AEW All Out, which saw several dangerous spots, including Page stabbing Strickland in the mouth with a needle and delivering a cinderblock bump and a chair shot that knocked Swerve out cold.
Following the match, Strickland was reported to be taking some time off from AEW to recover from the extreme bout. However, according to Fightful Select, Strickland was always intended to make an appearance at WrestleDream, given that the event takes place in his home state of Washington.
Strickland’s return was hinted at during this week’s episode of Dynamite, when MVP made his debut by interrupting Prince Nana, who was providing an update on Strickland. MVP criticized Swerve for taking time off after All Out, adding more fuel to the anticipation of his comeback.
With WrestleDream just around the corner, Strickland’s appearance is expected to be a major highlight, especially given the event’s significance for him personally. Fans are eager to see what role he will play and whether he’ll get involved in a new rivalry or continue his story with Hangman Page.
